Location Data: WearCast uses your device location while the app is in use, or a city, ZIP code, or street address you manually enter, to provide weather-based outfit recommendations and daily reminders. We may store your saved location name, latitude, longitude, timezone, and notification preference in your WearCast profile so recommendations work across app sessions. Location data is transmitted to our weather API partner (Open-Meteo) to fetch relevant weather data.
Weather Data: We collect weather information (temperature, humidity, conditions) associated with your approximate location to generate outfit recommendations.
Push Notification Preferences: If you enable notifications, we store your notification opt-in status securely.
Usage Information: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how the app is used to improve the service. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Saved location and notification settings may be stored in your WearCast profile so the app can provide forecasts, outfit recommendations, and daily notification delivery across app sessions. You can request deletion of any stored data at any time by contacting us.
Open-Meteo: Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). Their privacy policy governs their data practices.
Expo / React Native: The app is built using Expo and React Native frameworks, which may collect anonymous usage data according to their own privacy policies.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
WearCast may send you push notifications to remind you to check your outfit recommendation. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the WearCast app settings. We do not use push notifications for marketing purposes.
WearCast is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
